Community Groups in the Home

Why?

1. Grow deeper in your relationship with God and understanding of his Word.
2. Relate to others in healthy and encouraging friendships.
3. Access the grace of God in community with other believers.
4. Connect others to God and His people.
5. Exercise your gifts in serving and caring for others.

What?

A trained individual or couple leads each group. Time together includes food, prayer, Bible study and fun! Each group is open to new members at any time. It is recommended that you change to a different group every couple of years. Children are welcome to attend. A rotation of volunteers from the group will watch the children in another room of the house during the prayer and Bible study time.

When and Where?

Groups meet the first and third Sundays (September-May). Elder Mike Jernigan and his wife Pam lead a group at their home that meets at 5:30 PM. Pastor Bill and his wife Carroll lead a group that meets at 4:00 PM at the Wamstead’s.

In this isolated and fragmented world, Grace Community Groups help people connect with others in a safe, healthy environment. God has created us with a deep longing for community, and Grace Community Groups address this need to ‘belong’. Anyone who has spent time in community with a small group of believers knows that we grow in the Lord best when we ‘live it out’ together with others. We believe that getting connected with others in a Grace Community Group is a vital step in your spiritual growth at Grace Presbyterian Church.
