Grace City Dance

Grace City Dance was started as a ministry of Grace Presbyterian Church seven years ago as the church elders considered the growing emphasis of the arts in our ministries and outreach.

 Grace City 3

Our desire is to serve the Montgomery area in offering quality ballet classes and dance education within the loving context of a Christian environment.

We desire for dance to enhance a child’s awareness of their wonderfully-made bodies, our creative God and the community of lifelong dance friends. We desire for each dancer in our classes to find Grace City Dance is a healthy joyful place to express themselves through the art of dance!

Let’s Dance!

Grace City Dance 1

We offer classes from age three (by August) to age five using Creative Movement to help them enjoy music, rhythm, different dance expressions and to learn some of the basics of ballet. From age five to our teenagers, we use the Cecchetti method of instruction, which gives “careful instruction to the laws of anatomy. It develops all the qualities essential to the dancer: balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity…It is classic in its purity and clear-cut style.” (See Cecchetti.org)
